If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been awhile:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons
If you buy something at Aldi you are not please with, they have a double guarantee. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any product, they will replace the product AND refund your money. More info HERE.

Do you know how much bananas are at Aldi's? We just got back from vacation and stopped at Schnucks yesterday. They were .89cents a pound! Holy Cow!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne - $0.89 a pound for Banana? Wow, I knew we would see price increases at the grocery store because of the increased transportation cost, but .....
DeleteI didn't check the price this week, but the historically they have sold for around $0.45 lb. or less at Aldi. I need to get back to Aldi to pick up some items for a school event. I'll check then, if no one else has reported a current price.
My aldi was $0.44 lb for bananas yesterday
ReplyDeleteThe Aldi's in Arnold they were .39 a pound
ReplyDeleteJeri,
Aldi needs to thank you. Because of your blog and all the good deals you post about Aldi's, it is now our number one store for all our produce, most of our dairy, and a few other things. We go there a minimum of once a week. They are even getting to know us. Thanks for all you do and keeping us posted on all the good deals!!!
Thanks, Cathy and Allison for reporting the banana price.
ReplyDeleteAllison - I think it's quite ironic that I never shopped at Adli before I started couponing. Couponing has made me a much wiser shopper.
