Here is what I plan to shop for this week
CVS - pick up the freebies and an Entertainment Book
Target - Ore-Ida Potatoes and a beach towel
Aldi - milk, creamer and produce
Johnny's - produce (russets and romaine) and I'll use their produce coupon
Dierbergs
- Wish-Bone Salad dressing and what ever I can find for meat.
- Broccoli crowns and mushrooms - Pasta con Broccoli will be on the menu next week at our house.
- Azteca Tortillas - this is about the best price I find them for.
- Thomas English Muffins - great timing on the web-only coupon, I was needing English muffins.
Shop 'n Save - I'd stop at Crestwood to take advantage of the $10 off $50 Sappington Farmers' Market coupon match, but I'm not sure I can cobble together that big of trip this week.
- Kellogg's Cereal for the milk Catalina (if I can find my .70 blinkie coupons)
- Philly Cream Cheese - I have a couple of $1 off 2 coupons from a brochure and I want to see if they will trigger a Catalina coupon.
- Krunchers - I bought dip last week. I had better buy chips so we can use it.
- Split Chicken Breast - Can't beat the .99 price. I'll have to check freezer space and how much money I have left in this week's budget. I'd like to stock up for this price.
- Fish - I've been wanting to add more fish the families diet. Catfish is on sale for $3.99. I keep telling myself - this is why I have my splurge fund.
- Keebler's Cheesecake Middle Cookies - I think I have a few $1 coupon that I've never used. I can't pass up cookies for less than $1 a package.
Overall, there are very few stock up prices this week, so I'll spend my budget on some items we like to have in the house, not necessarily items I get at rock bottom prices.
I don't do all of this shopping in one day. I try to keep it to two shopping expeditions a week. Sunday I go to Aldi, and maybe CVS, Walgreens or Target. On Thursday, I try to finish the rest of my shopping. Since I only pick up a few items at each store, I can get in and out quickly. Some days, I spend more time looking for my car in the parking lot than shopping. After the third stop, I tend to forget where I parked. If you see a woman wondering around the parking lot, wave; it's probably me.
What are you buying this week?

I'm hoping the coupon is still working when I get home in 3 hours. It's a Bricks coupon and I hear there is a place you can request it to be mailed instead of printing it. Since our stores are getting iffy about B1G1 printables, I like to have them mailed if possible.
ReplyDeleteI also read about mail option but didn't see it or missed it on the site....and yes it's abricks coupon but tropicana site shows the count down for left hours...right now 6:39 left...all the best...

Spice - for the mail option, click on Help at the bottom of the Bricks page (it's in tiny print down by the logos). A screen will come up for you to enter your info and then it confirms that your coupon will be mailed.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ....
ReplyDeleteSpice
if you are printing, it will let you print two of these per computer
ReplyDeleteTarget had Huggies wipes clearance at $2.03. If you were lucky enough to find the $1/1 Target coupons and pair it with $.50 coupon from this weeks paper, you can get them for $.53.
ReplyDeleteWags had Planters Cashews clearanced at
$3.56-$1.50cpn= $2.00 not to bad for a big can of cashews.
How do u guys print twice from bricks coupon....if I press back button it says web page expires....and also did any one scored beach towel at target...if yes which target????

I love this new feature, hope you're able to keep it up! Thanks Trish in Wentzville
ReplyDeleteThe Philly cream cheese catalina worked for me at Shop n Save yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSpice- You have to press your back button a few time. Hope that works for you!
ReplyDeleteLove this post!! Great Job--thank you! --Sarah
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting ahead of time. I love to read your deals but feel clueless about assembling deals of my own......one day I'll jump in and do it. :)
ReplyDeletethanks Tiffany......
ReplyDeletespice...
Thanks spice for the info on Tripicanna.
ReplyDeleteCJ - I never think to request a brick coupon by mail. Although, it is a great idea. I agree some stores are getting picky with Free, B1G1 and high value coupons. Can you share your expierence. Do you get them? Do they come quickly?
Thanks Tiffancy for the clearance info. I love Cashews!
ReplyDeleteSpice - To print the second coupon, hit the back button a couple of times until the coupon print page appears again. I found beach towels at the Hampton Village store. There weren't too many left on Tuesday night.
ReplyDeleteHi Trish, Sarah and Jillbert
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feed back. It's always hard to tell what people are wanting to read.
Jillbert - Take the plunge couponing is not only is it fun but you can save a ton of moeny. Start small and ask lots of questions. My readers usually get back to answere other readers questions before I can. Everyone is more than willing to help and share.
Thanks, Anonymous for Cat info on Philly Cream Cheese at SNS. I'll update my National Catalina post.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! It is very helpful.
ReplyDeleteI found the towels at Target at 55/S.Lindbergh but that was Monday morning.
I love this post because it will help me to see what you have chosen to buy and copy it! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHow do you start out with the savings card at CVS? Do you sign up online or can you do it in store? I want to get some diapers but there isn't one close to me. I need to plan ahead and get my card ready!
ReplyDeleteJeri - I dont think I've ever requested a Bricks coup by mail before. It's only an option on a few coupons. I hope it works. You and I will probably bump into each other on a parking lot someday looking for our cars. I bought a new one a few months ago and can never find it!
ReplyDeleteMarcella - You can sign up for the CVS card on line or right in the store. Then just have them scan your card everytime to get the reduced prices and ECBs.
ReplyDeleteSNS (Lemay) honored my B1G1 Tropicana coupon today and I coupled it with a $1/2 coupon without problem.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the best web link to find out about local catalina deals? I often use Hotcouponworld.com and wonder if there is a better site?
ReplyDeleteJeri
ReplyDeletelove the new post topic! I think the same thing when I read your supersavings Saturday! You always do so well! Glad to have an insider peek!
Natalie
Great idea Jeri, I figure if you are buying it, it must be the best deal!
ReplyDeleteHi Marcella - As CJ said, get your card at the store. It only takes a minute to sign up for one. Have fun shopping at CVS. They are so nice and will expalin everything to you.
ReplyDeleteHi CJ - Keep us posted if you request a brick coupon and how it worked. It would be hilarious if we met looking for our cars.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise - Thanks for sharing how the B1G1 worked for you at SNS.
ReplyDeleteLocal Cat deals are hard to find. Coupon Deals and More started to list the National Catalina Events and I've reposted them here. Readers have been reporting in what they have found working locally and I'm updating the post as I hear from people. Coupon STL might be the best place to find what's working.
From everyones feedback, it sounds like this post was a hit. I'll continue posting each week my plans.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping readers will leave comments on what their plans are for the week also.
